Founded with a singular vision — that every girl deserves the finest education — St. Francis Rangala Girls has grown into one of the most respected institutions on the continent.
St. Francis Rangala Girls was established in 1948 by a consortium of educators who believed firmly that girls' schools produce transformational leaders. For over six decades, our graduates have gone on to lead corporations, governments, hospitals, and cultural institutions around the world.
We are an independent, non-denominational all-girls school offering education from Form 1 through Form 6. Our environment is deliberately designed to be free from gender bias — a space where every young woman is encouraged to raise her hand, take the lead, and embrace her ambitions.
Our guiding motto — Fides et Labor (Faith and Hard Work) — underpins everything we do: the pursuit of knowledge with honesty, and the sharing of wisdom with generosity.
St. Francis Rangala Girls opened its doors with 36 students and six dedicated teachers on Ridgeway Drive, Khwisero.
Three students achieve top national rankings in the KCSE examination, establishing our academic reputation.
State-of-the-art laboratories and the ICT centre are inaugurated, transforming STEM education at the school.
Full boarding facilities open, allowing students from across East Africa to join the St. Francis Rangala community.
Exchange programmes launched with partner schools in the UK, Singapore, and South Africa.
Celebrations mark six decades of shaping Kenya's finest women leaders, scientists, and changemakers.
We teach students to question assumptions, defend positions with evidence, and engage in honest inquiry even when the answers are uncomfortable.
True leadership is rooted in empathy. We develop leaders who listen before they speak, and serve before they lead.
High standards and humility go hand in hand. We celebrate achievement while ensuring every student feels she belongs.
Education does not end at graduation. We instil a love of learning that sustains our alumnae through every chapter of their lives.
We do not prepare girls for the world as it is. We prepare them for the world as it should be — and as they will make it.
